THREE HOUSING VILLA INTEGRATED IN THE NATURAL LANDSCAPE
The three-unit villa at the Chemin de la Fourmi in Lausanne is anchored in a low-density urban fabric where the tree mass is important. Integration into the natural landscape is a will, the use of materials such as stone and wood facade was preferred.
The villa consists of two separate volumes. The first volume is monolithic and closed on itself to protect the intimate spaces of bedrooms and bathrooms. These rooms offer framed views of the surrounding trees.
The second very glazed volume brings a complete vision of the garden and benefits from an exposition mainly south-west. This space is dedicated to the living room, the kitchen and the dining room.
